The best lightweight outdoor winter/autumn jackets ever?
Now I know this is not technically a gadget, but I’ve been amazed at how great these things are.
Ultra light down jackets are essentially a lightweight thin version of a traditional bulky puffer jacket that folds down into its own carry cover that is just the size of a tall beer can.
Believe me when I say that wearing these things on a cold day with just a tee shirt underneath will keep you toasty warm. They weigh nothing so ideal for the budget airline brigade who will always have a great warm jacket without the bulk when travelling.
I went on three day trip recently and the jacket was fantastic. The only bit of clothing to make my top ten but trust me, you need one of these.
